Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to ensure the S&OP plan is translated into an effective Master Production Schedule that supports customer demand and production volumes. The role requires strong ERP discipline, capacity awareness, headcount planning, and inventory visibility to maintain reliable execution.

Hybrid role with a focus on continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in production planning or master scheduling in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience leading planning activities and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the S&OP process, ensuring demand, capacity, materials, inventory strategy, backlog, and priorities are translated into clear actions.
• Monitor key planning metrics: OTD, MPS adherence, backlog, capacity utilization, and inventory availability.
• Translate S&OP into the Master Production Schedule and maintain schedules for customer requirements and demand changes.
• Review planning actions to reduce DQ, pull volumes ahead, and support forecasts and commitments.
• Track capacity requirements and headcount needs, escalating risks to production leadership.
• Oversee ERP work order management to ensure accurate production signals and execution.
• Maintain ERP planning information, schedules, and order management data to protect planning integrity.
• Monitor finished goods inventory at distribution centers and manage production priorities and safety stocks.
• Collaborate with Materials, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve planning issues.
• Lead planning reviews and develop team members through coaching and development plans.
• Promote safety, compliance, and IMI Way in planning activities and continuous improvement projects.
