Empresa Confidencial in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, is seeking an Operational Purchasing Manager to lead direct material procurement, optimize supplier performance, and strengthen supply chain continuity in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a bachelor's in a related field, MBA preferred, advanced English, and at least five years in purchasing leadership, with experience in automotive or related industries.

Formación

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• MBA is preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Minimum of five years of experience as Purchasing Manager or in a similar leadership position within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automotive, wire harness, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost analysis, contract management, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers to support operational requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance using cost, quality, delivery, and service metrics.
• Identify and resolve material shortages to ensure supply chain continuity.
• Support procurement teams in meeting material requirements and operational objectives.
• Monitor and maintain purchase orders and procurement data within ERP systems.
• Develop and implement negotiation strategies through cost analysis, market intelligence, and supplier engagement.
• Lead operational purchasing projects, including supplier contracts, standard cost initiatives, and online bidding processes.
• Drive cost reduction, value analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct supplier business reviews and create action plans to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations teams to support business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to strengthen negotiation, analytical, and supplier management capabilities.
