Jabil is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to optimize material costs, develop sourcing strategies, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms for strategic components. The role supervises the workcell's Purchasing staff and ensures effective training and resource provision to meet business unit goals.

The position involves working with internal resources and customers to add preferred suppliers to AML, and to drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining supply quality and on-time delivery.

Formación

• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers and clients.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and software; strong PC skills.
• Experience with Jabil software packages is a plus.
• Ability to read simple instructions and reports.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and project component purchase prices to reflect inventory value.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring activities.
• Ensure Purchasing staff receive proper training and resources.
• Develop and facilitate workcell training.
• Optimize overall cost of materials.
• Support and provide inputs to SCM initiatives and strategies.
• Improve sourcing options with AML and strategic suppliers.
• Provide input for quoted costs to customers to maximize MPV.
• Negotiate terms and conditions protecting Jabil's interests.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery, and quality.
• Manage materials that are Business Unit specific or strategic.
