Ormco in Mexicali, Mexico, seeks a procurement specialist to manage daily purchasing, planning of materials, and supplier coordination to support production schedules and customer requirements. You will administer purchases in the INNOVA system, build supplier relations, and contribute to cost reductions and on-time delivery while collaborating with production, warehouse, and import/export teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Basic knowledge of production planning and control processes.
• APICS certification or modules desirable.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments, medical or dental device industry.
• English proficiency at least 65%.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and monitor daily purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.
• Prioritize purchasing activities based on urgency and needs of each production line.
• Execute daily planning and purchasing of raw materials, consumables, equipment, and contracted services.
• Administer purchasing operations through the INNOVA system, including order creation and tracking.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to negotiate pricing and lead times.
• Identify new sourcing opportunities with local and national suppliers to reduce costs.
• Participate in supplier qualification processes and supplier assessments.
• Collaborate with materials, production, warehouse, and import/export teams, including US-based HQ.
• Generate and analyze reports to track procurement metrics and support improvements.
• Provide real-time updates on material availability to production floors.
