Job summary

John Crane, part of Smiths Group, is seeking an HR Manager to lead strategic HR services for Mexico operations. Reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner, you will advise leaders on workforce design, policy implementation, and people strategies to enable growth and organizational effectiveness.

The role emphasizes labor relations, payroll compliance, talent management, and HR digital transformation, including Workday adoption, data quality, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years HR experience in manufacturing/industrial environments required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders on organizational design, workforce strategy, talent, leadership effectiveness and business transformation.
• Develop, validate, and communicate HR policies applicable to all employees in Mexico.
• Partner with business leaders to develop strategic workforce plans aligned to growth and productivity.
• Lead HR digital transformation initiatives and Workday deployment, data quality and process improvement.
• Use HR analytics and market data to advise on salary budgets, market adjustments and compensation actions.
• Define and implement action plans from employee engagement surveys to improve satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee payroll processes in compliance with legal/tax requirements and DOA.
• Lead labor relations strategies and negotiations with unions as applicable.
