Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking a Trade Compliance professional to execute and manage import/export compliance activities across all John Crane sites in Mexico, ensuring full adherence to Mexican customs regulations while supporting global duty mitigation and operational efficiency.

The role requires fluent English and Spanish, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive governance and risk mitigation across a global network.

Qualifications

• Significant trade compliance experience in a company with Mexican operations.
• Experience handling international trade within a complex global supply chain.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican customs processes (Ley Aduanera, IMMEX).
• ERP systems experience, including SAP ERP and SAP GTS; QAD valued.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage import/export compliance across John Crane sites in Mexico.
• Ensure adherence to Mexican regulations and support global duty mitigation.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution and align with governance policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior leaders on risks.
• Manage export controls, sanctions, and customs obligations in Mexico.
• Assist with audits, investigations, and remediation related to compliance.
