Job summary

ABB in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon seeks an experienced procurement professional to develop and execute our sourcing strategy for assigned categories, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery performance. You will lead negotiations and frame agreements aligned with global policies.

The role reports to the Procurement Manager and requires 10+ years in similar roles, SAP/Power BI/Excel proficiency, and advanced English. This position anchors supplier selection and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, industrial, or related engineering field.
10+ years of experience in similar roles (Category Specialist, Senior Buyer, Production Planning Analyst, or equivalent).
Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
Experience in negotiation, cost-reduction projects, and supplier development.
Advanced English.

Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy to optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
Ensure execution per company procurement and supply base procedures.
Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval.
Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms.
Identify and select appropriate suppliers focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
