Formación

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on supply chain.
  • APIC certification is a plus for this role.

Descripción del empleo

The Strategic Buyer/Planner II is responsible for the development and management of suppliers, and all purchasing and planning activities relating to manufacturing, service, and inventory control for assigned product lines.

The position is also responsible for:

  1. Supporting the optimization of inventory levels, and being alert to material changes, shortages, unplanned scrap, and material availability.
  2. Maintaining the MRP system data and its integrity, preparing and analyzing reports, and supporting project management of existing and new products.
  3. Creating the vision for the supply base to support existing products as well as new products. The position will take full ownership of key performance indicators associated with vendor scorecard performance and lead improvements when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to speak, understand, and write in English at a B2 or higher level.
  • B.S. Degree in Business, Supply Chain preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of supply chain improvements.
  • APIC certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a high-paced medical manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures.
  • Able to work under general supervision and guidelines.

Skills and Abilities:

  • A broad understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, purchasing, and material and capacity planning methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Able to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • The employee is required to work in an office and manufacturing assembly environment.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, or stand.
  • Requires travel to supplier sites.
