WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Store Manager for our new Guadalajara store opening this summer. The Store Manager will be a leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strategic foresight, and fosters collaboration. They will be responsible for creating and executing business strategies to develop the boutique as a hub for client engagement and connection, while embodying the values of the Maison. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in Spanish and English.

Network Development and Brand Ambassador:

  • Maintain a strong front-of-house presence, ensuring an excellent in-store experience and fostering a 'couture service' mindset.
  • Drive the implementation of company strategies by coaching, motivating, and supporting the boutique team, ensuring strong understanding and adoption of these strategies.
  • Embody Valentino codes consistently and engage the local community with the brand.
  • Attract and recruit new clients through personal networks and external partnerships.
  • Develop a clienteling mindset to enhance client loyalty and retention, from beginners to VICs.

Business and Sales Performance:

  • Maximize sales performance to meet or exceed targets while maintaining operational integrity and profitability.
  • Regularly analyze store KPIs, devising action plans to improve performance.
  • Develop an annual store strategy aligned with broader company goals, revisited quarterly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to execute business plans effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Manage personnel expenses and adhere to discounting policies to protect brand integrity.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Buying teams to ensure the right product mix.
  • Report weekly sales trends and insights to the Valentino Leadership team.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Cultivate an inclusive, motivating environment that values diversity and teamwork.
  • Handle conflicts tactfully, providing direct and constructive feedback, in partnership with Retail Director and HRBP.
  • Support professional growth and readiness for future roles of team members.
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism and conduct.
  • Set SMART goals and optimize staffing to maximize team performance.
  • Communicate company updates effectively through briefings and training sessions.
  • Build and retain a talented team, ensuring career development and succession planning with HR support.
  • Lead recruitment activities in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition.
  • Oversee daily operations, planning, and execution of activities.
  • Create and maintain a motivated, positive, and safe work environment, managing sensitive personnel situations per policies and laws.
  • Organize regular store meetings to inform and motivate the team regarding performance and goals.

CRM and Events Management:

  • Ensure excellent client experiences by monitoring sales activities and maintaining high standards of the Valentino Client Journey.
  • Implement and develop clienteling strategies for engagement, loyalty, and upgrading clients.
  • Maintain external relations with clients, partners, and the community to promote brand loyalty and expand the network.
  • Manage the client database meticulously, promoting loyalty and executing targeted marketing actions.
  • Integrate digital tools into the client journey and clienteling routines.
  • Assist with managing sales and after-sales situations, respecting company procedures.
  • Stay informed on HQ guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Transform customer interactions into meaningful relationships through strategic client development.
  • Engage with local partners and community events to boost brand visibility.

Store Operations and Merchandise:

  • Stay updated on operational policies to minimize loss and optimize performance.
  • Participate actively in operational tasks when needed, including shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure proper management of returns, transfers, and inventory activities.
  • Manage cash and payment systems according to company policies.
  • Oversee store audits and administrative procedures.
  • Ensure store maintenance and functionality of furnishings and tools.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and buying teams on seasonal product selections.
  • Monitor product rotation and stock levels to maximize sales potential.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Coordinate with HQs Visual Merchandising to verify and implement visual standards that support sales strategies.

Maintain order and cleanliness of windows and internal displays, ensuring visual criteria are met.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Store Management or a leadership role.
  • Luxury department store management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven success in team development and achieving results.
  • Strong knowledge of product and client journey.
  • Good business acumen, understanding KPIs and store performance.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Effective team management skills with motivating leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with clients, team, and stakeholders.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prioritization skills and attention to detail under deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in store sales and operations systems.
