Job summary

GE Vernova Technology Solutions Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking engineers for the Steam Turbine Engineering team to design and validate bearing pedestals and turning Gear components for combined cycle power projects.

The role emphasizes mechanical design fundamentals, FEA, collaboration with global teams, and attention to safety and quality as we advance low-carbon energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Some engineering experience or knowledge in Steam Turbine design and/or bearing pedestals/turning gear components.
• Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Own Bearing pedestal component selection and specification in execution of OTR activities for new units
• Perform Turning Gear component selection and specification in execution of OTR activities for new units
• Contribute to technology advancements from a Shaftline System, subsystem, component and material / life Vantage points
• Collaborate with global & cross-functional team of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders enabling & fostering mutual technical growth and delivering for our customers
• Perform and review appropriate engineering analysis to ensure robust designs that meet all required CTQs
• Support RTS and NPI activities as required
• Design for EHS/Safety and demonstrate safety skillsets in support of manufacturing and field activities
• Demonstrated excellence applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, lifing methods related to fatigue (LCF & HCF) and creep
