A leading spirits company seeks an experienced accounting professional in Jalisco to manage statutory compliance for Latin America. You will coordinate the close processes and prepare financial statements and analyses. Ideal candidates have strong accounting and tax compliance backgrounds, are registered with the Regional Accounting Council, and are fluent in English and Spanish. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can apply your expertise and contribute to significant growth initiatives.

Formación

  • Experience in accounting or finance, including statutory compliance.
  • Registered with the Regional Accounting Council.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and metrics.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure statutory compliance in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.
  • Coordinate the Month, Quarter & Year close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and intercompany analysis.

What You Can Expect
  • Responsible for the statutory compliance of legal entities for the region.(Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina)
  • Responsible for coordinating the Month, Quarter & Year close process, by ensuring all transactions are properly and timely registered in all sets of books.
  • Assist the accounting manager in providing accounting support and analysis on operations, as well as participate in projects leading to significant growth for the Company.
  • Coordinates information with Outsource Vendors to ensure statutory compliance in Colombia, Chile and Argentina
  • Responsible for the intercompany accounting process: booking, reconciliations, invoicing, interest calculations. It also manages contracts and agreements and the corresponding repository in Salesforce
  • Prepares segmented financial statements, performs intercompany analysis and mark-up validation process
  • Prepares and coordinates the documentation for transfer price reports required for Tax compliance and External Audits, including transactions details, balances, information for the Master File and local reports
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly and annual filings, as required for statutory compliance of the region, including Statistic Economy Report, Electronic Accounting, etc.
  • Responsible for the Annual signer reports of Mexican legal entities
  • Responsible of coordinating and preparing information requested for government audits
  • Responsible of coordinating and preparing information for statutory audits according to schedules
  • Assist with the completion of Internal Audits and SOX compliance
  • Reviews, maintains, and reconciles accounts, making adjustments, corrections and journal entries as appropriate (eg: US GAAP and MFRS)
  • Prepares reconciliation between US GAAP and Local books for all entities; performs ad hoc adjustments
  • Participates in special projects and ad-hoc analysis in support of finance department and company initiatives
  • Maintains Special Ledger (SPL)
  • Performs variations analysis and explanations
  • Leads and/or participates in special projects for the area and ad-hoc requirements
What You Bring to the Table
  • Accounting or finance experience, tax compliance and/or transfer pricing experience are a must.
  • Professional register in the Regional Accounting Council is a must
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of the use of data analysis and metrics and the ability to translate data and trends into actions
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate complex financial analysis in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to build productive relationships across all levels and functions.
  • Fluency (oral and written) in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, meet deadlines and simultaneously develop, deploy, and coordinate multiple projects
What Makes You Unique
  • Strong knowledge in Mexico’s statutory compliance, LATAM experience is a plus
  • Project management experience and strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Professional register in the Regional Accounting Council is desired
  • Advanced computer skills with current, or ability to quickly build, proficiency Microsoft [Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive], Excel, SAP, Blackline, MRM.
