Carrier is seeking a Staff Engineer in Modeling & Controls for onsite work in Santa Catarina, NL, Mexico. You will lead small, globally distributed teams to design, implement, and verify production-ready control systems for HVAC and refrigeration applications.

You will develop physics-based plant models, perform system identification, and drive architecture decisions across modules, using MATLAB/Simulink and other tools. Strong collaboration and hands-on testing are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant engineering field with substantial controls experience.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams on controls projects.
• Strong background in modeling, system identification, and optimization.

Responsabilidades

• Lead small teams of engineers to deliver production-ready controls solutions.
• Define development and verification plans with stakeholders.
• Perform dynamic analysis for control algorithms including system identification and stability.
• Develop requirements and verify control objectives with system engineers.
• Drive control architecture decisions across modules (PLC/UI/IoT).
• Develop and calibrate physics-based plant models.
• Create unit and integration tests for control systems.
• Hands-on testing in lab and refine plant model fidelity.
• Push testing upstream in MIL/SIL/HIL lifecycle.
• Support quality improvement through technology advances.
