Staff Consultant - Virtual Networking/Network Security (Mexico or Colombia)

We seek a talented, experienced consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be crucial in designing and implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on software-defined networking and security solutions, as well as support sales teams in the pre-sales by assisting them in offering the best of our solutions to our customers. You will work closely with customers, engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performance enterprise architectures as well as other Nutanix architects to develop new service offerings and toolkits.

Your Role

• Actively engage in billable project work, dedicating up to 70% of your time to ensure successful completion
• Design and deploy Nutanix solutions for hybrid cloud infrastructure with NCI/NCM/NUS.
• Design and deploy networking infrastructure defined by software with Nutanix solutions like Flow Virtual Networking.
• Design and deploy network and application tier segmentation strategies to safeguard data from cyber threats
• Conduct customer-focused design workshops to introduce Nutanix products as well as to gather requirements, assumptions and constraints for design decisions.
• Ensure to develop a suitable solution aligned with customer business outcomes and requirements.
• Create design documentation using enterprise architecture frameworks and toolkits.
• Provide pre-sales support as an expert, enhancing the sales process and delivering added value to proposed solutions.
• Define activities, objectives, milestones, deliverables and the required effort to deliver customer business outcomes.
• Work with Practice Development teams, creating and improving toolkits, best practices, guides and tutorials to contribute to the company's growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find solutions and resolve technical issues.

What You Will Bring

• 6+ years experience in the industry of IT cloud infrastructure or similar.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience deploying or administering network infrastructure defined by software (e.g. VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, Juniper Contrail Networking, or similar).
• Proven experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or similar.
• Proven experience in public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure or similar.
• Proven experience in network technologies such as ingress/egress, firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and subnet overlays, VxLAN, GENEVE, BGP and VPN.
• Hands-on experience with network micro-segmentation, including defining and enforcing granular security policies.
• Experience integrating software-defined networking and micro-segmentation with virtualization platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize software-defined networking environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Fair networking and security skills in on-premises virtualized environments and or in public clouds
• Familiarity with how to perform security hardening in a virtualized environment.
• Possess a Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification as well as VMware VCP-NV or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented and able to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in Spanish.
• Upper-Intermediate oral and written proficiency in English.
• Able to collaborate with team members.

The Nutanix consulting team is diverse, flexible, self-taught and multidisciplinary. We work on a wide range of information technology projects, exploring the universe of architecture and deployment of solutions that Nutanix offers its customers, from hyperconvergence through database management solutions, End-User-Computing, reaching Kubernetes platform projects and IT automation.

We are a team used to influence trends and guide our customers so that they can explore the potential of our solutions for their business. We start our journey supporting in pre-sales stages and later, guided by a project manager, we work end-to-end to successfully design and implement the solution for our customers.

Our time is mostly dedicated to be 70% involved in projects with customers, majority of which are remote, although we may have to travel occasionally to serve customers onsite for 10% to 30% of our time.
