Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for warehouse administration and supporting production. They ensure all materials are maintained in good condition, provide support and training to team leaders and material handlers, and keep production lines running smoothly. They also develop work instructions and improve warehouse processes to meet company goals. The supervisor may lead the warehouse team if the Materials Coordinator is unavailable.

  • Ensure standards contributing to warehouse performance (SQCD) are executed and maintained.
  • Ensure the flow and distribution of materials for production.

Monitor the movement of physical materials and systems (SAP).

  • Hire, develop, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
  • Manage logistics processes including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping finished goods and waste.
  • Organize team training needs.
  • Perform safety-related activities.
  • Coordinate effective communication among shipping/receiving, inventory, and internal material handling teams.
  • Supervise production systems and coordinate resources to meet targets related to Safety (including environmental aspects), Quality, Delivery, and Costs, by eliminating waste. Follow up on production supervisor activities concerning environmental management, chemical handling, waste management, emissions, and water management.
  • Contribute to safety and quality problem-solving through root cause analysis and risk elimination.
  • Ensure operational controls based on EHS standards, including environmental risks, waste management, water and energy use, risk assessments, noise, lighting, chemical handling, PPE, load handling, and legal requirements.
  • Promote understanding of safety and environmental policies, attend relevant training, and halt malfunctioning processes or machinery, reporting issues accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • English proficiency of at least 90%.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Understanding of import/export processes.
  • Experience with physical material flow (receiving, repacking, putaway, replenishment, supply to production).
  • Experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Headcount administration skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset (BPS).
