Honeywell International, Inc. in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, seeks a Senior Procurement Buying Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the execution of purchasing across multiple sites and product lines.

You will drive timely purchase orders, supplier delivery performance, and process compliance while partnering with Planning, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to mitigate supply risks and ensure business continuity.

As a Senior Procurement Buying Supervisor at Honeywell, you will lead and develop a team responsible for the operational execution of purchasing activities supporting one or more businesses, manufacturing sites, product lines, or regional operations.

You will ensure the timely placement, acknowledgement, confirmation, monitoring, and completion of purchase orders while driving material availability, supplier delivery performance, purchasing process compliance, data accuracy, and customer responsiveness. You will partner closely with Planning, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and other Integrated Supply Chain stakeholders to identify supply risks, resolve constraints, and support business continuity.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Procurement Buyers and other assigned procurement professionals.

Establish clear priorities, objectives, standard work, and accountability across the team.

Conduct regular performance discussions, provide timely feedback, and support individual development plans.

Assess team capability and coordinate required functional and compliance training.

Create an inclusive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.

Develop organizational capability, succession readiness, and cross-training plans to maintain continuity of procurement operations.

Ensure appropriate backup coverage for critical suppliers, materials, sites, and purchasing responsibilities.

Honeywell's procurement playbook notes that clear accountability, visibility of buyer and supervisor assignments, and defined backup coverage support communication, issue resolution, collaboration, and continuity of procurement activities.

Procurement Operations

Lead the execution of purchase orders from purchase requisition conversion through supplier acknowledgement, confirmation, delivery, receipt, and closure.

Ensure purchase orders are issued accurately and in accordance with applicable approval requirements, policies, and procedures.

Monitor open purchase orders, unconfirmed orders, past-due lines, delivery commitments, exception messages, and other procurement work queues.

Ensure buyers maintain accurate supplier confirmation dates, quantities, pricing, and delivery information in the applicable enterprise systems.

Review operational priorities and allocate resources based on customer, production, revenue, and supply-continuity requirements.

Drive timely resolution of purchase order transmission failures, receiving discrepancies, invoice issues, blocked payments, and other transactional exceptions.

Support effective use of SAP, Ariba, and other approved Honeywell procurement and reporting tools.

Maintain effective internal controls and procurement documentation.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Finance, International Business, or a related discipline.

Relevant professional experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Planning, Supplier Management, or a related function.

Experience coordinating, supervising, or leading employees, projects, or operational workstreams.

Experience with purchase order management and supplier delivery follow-up.

Working knowledge of ERP-supported procurement processes.

Ability to analyze procurement data and translate findings into corrective actions.

Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Professional proficiency in English and any additional language required by the site or region.
