Baxter Healthcare in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, seeks a Data Platform Management IT Consultant to drive data solutions and support AWS infrastructure for a global Data Platform.

You will develop and maintain AWS-based pipelines, review code, ensure integration testing, and document technical specs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve patient care through data-driven insights.

Formación

• 5+ years of IaC, Data Platform, Data Engineering, AWS experience
• 7+ years of IT industry experience
• 5+ years of experience & proficiency with Python, Shell Scripting
• Experience in AWS services IAM, S3, KMS, EC2, EMR, CloudFormation, EKS
• Experience in Terraform, git, JIRA, Jenkins, Airflow, Control-M
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data extraction
• Proven ability to document technical specs and communicate clearly
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect (nice to have)

Responsabilidades

• Explain technical solutions to internal customers and provide feedback
• Perform technical code reviews before production
• Perform and review integration testing before production migrations
• Provide high level technical support and root cause analysis for production issues

You will perform development work and technical support related to our AWS infrastructure in support of a global data warehouse/Data Platform. You can work independently, as well as in cooperation with a variety of customers and other technical experts.

What you'll be doing

• Development, Improvement and Support of AWS infrastructure supporting Data Platform
• Can explain technical solutions and resolutions with internal customers and communicate feedback
• Perform technical code reviews for peers moving code into production.
• Perform and review integration testing before production migrations
• Provide high level of technical support and perform root cause analysis for problems experienced within area of functional responsibility
• Can document technical specs from business communications
• Serves as SME for various AWS cloud technologies

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of IaC, Data Platform, Data Engineering, AWS experience
• 7+ years of IT industry experience
• 5+ years of experience & proficiency with Python, Shell Scripting
• Experience in AWS services like IAM, S3, KMS, EC2, EMR, Cloudformation, EKS
• Experience in Terraform, git, JIRA, Jenkins, Airflow, Control-M
• Strong knowledge of SQL, understanding of subqueries, able to write SQL code sufficient for most business requirements for pulling data from sources, applying rules to the data, and stocking target data
• Proven track record in fix data pipelines and addressing production issues like performance tuning, permission issues
• Can build clear and concise documentation and communications
• Can detail technical specs from business communications
• Ability to coordinate and aggressively follow up on incidents and problems, perform diagnosis, and provide resolution to minimize service interruption
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective in cross-functional and global environments to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently with effective communication skills
• A self-starter who can work well independently and on team projects
• Experienced in analyzing business requirements, defining the granularity, source to target mapping of the data elements, and full technical specification
• Nice to have Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect
