This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and managing health and safety programs to mitigate risks. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in call center environments. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

AT&T is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) based in Mexico City. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring AT&T’s compliance with Health & Safety laws and regulations as applicable to your job function. You will support and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure risk mitigation and foster a safe workplace culture.

What you will do:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., STPS, IMSS, civil protection).
  • Manage regulatory agency interactions, audits, inspections, and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify workplace hazards, and implement corrective actions to minimize incidents.
  • Develop and manage EHS programs and training to enhance safety awareness and employee engagement.
  • Investigate EHS incidents, document findings, and implement preventive measures to improve safety performance.
  • Oversee employee health services, attendance, disability programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities, and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison for EHS communications with stakeholders and perform additional tasks as needed.

  • Apply deep organizational knowledge and independent judgment to lead complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Drive improvements in efficiency, cost control, and scheduling, impacting both departmental and organizational success.
  • Collaborate across teams and senior leadership, communicating effectively with contractors, employees, and management through various channels to promote a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in safety, health, and environmental management, ideally within call center settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing teams and leading cross-functional EHS initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Mexican regulatory requirements such as STPS, IMSS, and civil protection standards to ensure compliance and smooth agency coordination.
  • Possession of relevant Mexican EHS certifications, such as Técnico en Seguridad e Higiene Industrial or equivalent, is highly desirable.
  • Fully bilingual: must speak, read, and write in both Spanish and English.
  • This position requires a minimum office presence of 5 days per week and is only available in the specified location(s). No relocation is offered. Flexibility to accommodate changing business schedules is required.
