Nissan is looking for a Sr. Specialist, Accounting to join the finance team at Nissan Renault Finance Services (NRFS), based in our corporate offices in Mexico City or Aguascalientes.

This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by managing accounting transactions, accounts payable processing, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements. The position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regional finance teams and insurers, acting as a first filter for financial accuracy and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process complex portfolio accounting transactions.

  • Support the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.

  • Maintain and report daily/monthly cash and cash equivalents. Register journal entries in SAP, including insurance claims and reconciliation items.

  • Perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Collect, archive, and manage supporting documentation related to accounting activities.

  • Contribute to the month-end closing process with internal teams across Mexico and North America.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and data quality.

  • Support external and internal audit.

  • Reporting financial statements to parent company.

Required Professional Profile:

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

Experience:At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closings.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP (required)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP

  • Familiarity with automation tools or digital finance systems is a plus

Languages:Advanced English (required for communication with global stakeholders)

Certifications:in accounting or project management are a plus.
