AlertMedia is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for its Incident Response team. You will design and deliver scalable features in a full-stack Python/Django/Next.js/React environment, ensuring reliability under load and during outages.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Redis, and leverage AI tools to boost productivity. This remote Mexico-based role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and delivering impactful software quickly.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred
• 6+ years of experience building scalable web applications, Python/Django/React/Node tech stack preferred
• Experience with Linux-based containers using tools like Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (or other cloud services) is required
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies is required
• You have an established practice of writing unit and integration tests
• Proficiency using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar) across the development lifecycle
• Collaborative mindset to partner with principal engineers and leadership to drive architectural evolution for a critical application
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage working on multiple projects in parallel
• The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Strong English proficiency (written and oral) is required

• Learn the AlertMedia platform, its tools, and how customers use them

• Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Codex, and other emerging platforms to support development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity
• Work in an Agile-based environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack
• Help maintain AlertMedia's technology advantage over other solutions through innovative development and by contributing new ideas for leveraging technology in our product line
• Use strong verbal and written communication skills in collaboration with other engineering and product teams
• Contribute to AlertMedia’s culture, values and vision for the future

Customers use Incident Response during an active emergency — to declare an incident, assess who and what is affected, assign tasks, and coordinate the response across the organization. Location:

This role is remote in Mexico. We do have a Mexico City office in the Reforma area if you'd like to go into the office and collaborate with our engineering team, otherwise it is a fully remote position based in Mexico.
