Sr. Quality Engineer for Customers

Leon, Guanajuato | Leon Cutting Plant


MISSION:

Meet customer satisfaction according to their scorecards and KPI goals, driven by Lear's leadership behaviors, involving multidisciplinary teams for preventive and corrective actions.


YOUR TASKS WILL BE:
  • Ensure safety standards.
  • Maintain quality metrics: External Plant PPM, External negotiated PPM, Sort Cost, PD Cost, Internal IPPM.
  • Prepare for and participate in IATF audits.
  • Implement and improve the fast response process.
  • Participate in LPA and maintain quality systems.
  • Manage corrective action processes.
  • Support launches and transfers of new products.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction: manage critical programs and customer complaints.
  • Support internal quality issues.
  • Control internal containment costs.
  • Manage third-party sort activities.
  • Manage PD costs.
  • Lead cost improvement projects.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 3 years experience as a Quality Engineer for Customers, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in the leather industry is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in corrective action processes.
  • Expertise in Control Plan and PFMEA, with the ability to lead periodic revisions with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven leadership in preventive and corrective actions to meet quality requirements.
  • Ability to ensure quality metrics for internal, external PPM, and cost of quality.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and strong presentation skills.
  • Active involvement in quality performance during new product launches.
  • Participation in Quality Management System activities.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in data analysis, Excel, and critical thinking.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
