A leading technology company in Mexicali is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead root cause analysis of product failures and improve quality management systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Electronic Engineering, with a preference for Six Sigma Certification and 3+ years of experience in the electronics industry. Strong skills in statistical process control and LEAN manufacturing are required.

Formación

• 3+ years experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in Electronics Industry is preferable.
• Experience with PPAP favored.
• English proficiency at 85% required.
• Six Sigma Certification is preferable.

Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs.
• Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.
• Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.
• Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.
• Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.
• Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
• Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.
• Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.
• Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.
• Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.
• Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.

Experience

• Essential:
• Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable
• Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP),
• Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)
• Preferable
• Six Sigma Certification preferable
• 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• 3+ years in quality system maintenance
• English 85%

• Excellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office –Excel-,etc)
