Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with PM/PJM and PDE to understand customer NPI requirements.
- Work with footprint PJM and Sourcing to identify project goals, scope, and requirements for migration projects.
- Collaborate with Sourcing and PBL supplier for qualification, obtaining engineering support if needed.
- Develop project framework/timeline, utilizing WBS to identify deliverables and tasks in projects.
- Lead the development of project capital and expenses spending plan, capacity plan, cost model, and project P&L (W/O PJM).
- Establish project tooling development or migration timeline, including tooling development (or transfer) and qualification, sample making and delivery, product qualification, and GTP.
- Track RFQ progress and project status (win or drop).
What Your Background Should Look Like:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Total working experience of over 8 years.
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing.
- Good command of English in both speaking and writing.
Additional Responsibilities
- After project kickoff, set up project team including supplier and balance resources against project task requirements.
- Lead TE cross-functional team and PBL supplier to develop project timeline and track actual progress to ensure all tasks are on schedule (design/sample/qualification, etc.).
- Stay interlocked with PJM, review and monitor project progress, and drive implementation to ensure successful execution of overall project timeline.
- Support tooling order and/or sample order to supplier.
- Lead Micro Lite project and QNPI as project leader.
- Lead PBL internal migration project as project leader.
- Support footprint PJM as receiving side project leader (move from plant to supplier).
- Drive sample delivery on time and ensure qualification and production documents are on schedule.
- Follow system setup and ensure safe launch on time.
