A leading company in the automotive chemical industry is seeking a Production Planner to develop and execute production plans while managing inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering, extensive experience in planning and operations, and advanced skills in Excel. This role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure product availability and reduce inventory issues.

Formación

  • Over 5 years of experience in planning, operations, and procurement.
  • Experience in the automotive chemical industry.

Descripción del empleo

As a Production Planner, you will develop a production plan to satisfy customer demand while maintaining minimum inventory levels.

You will report to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan liquid paint production and monitor the execution of the plan to prevent stockouts, low stock, and excess inventory.
  2. Develop weekly and monthly production plans based on customer demand, inventory levels, and company policies, addressing exceptions and recommendations from the system.
  3. Coordinate the maintenance of the material master database according to Oracle parameters.
  4. Monitor and coordinate efforts to reduce slow-moving inventory, including no-good inventory, returns, and work-offs.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and technical departments to develop formulas and routings to recover or consume non-stock items.
  6. Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with Supply Chain and Operations teams to review backlogs, production schedules, capacity planning, and material availability.
  7. Coordinate with demand planning and location teams to ensure product availability across the portfolio.

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering
  2. Experience in the automotive chemical industry
  3. Over 5 years of experience in planning, operations, and procurement
  4. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  5. Advanced skills in Excel
  6. Experience using ERP systems and planning optimizers
  7. Fluent in English
