The functional leader performing the Product Engineering Assy role is responsible for managing the product from development phase to NPI and for ensuring the product is ready to hand off to the NPI team. This is determined through a Risk Assessment/Tech Plan process from concept phases to manufacturing, where all the process areas are evaluated considering all the design rules and process capabilities. This role works in a cross-functional team between PK, PE, Process Development, and Prototypes, communicating technical risks and managing risk mitigation plans.

Qualifications:

1. NPI process experience
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering
3. 5+ years experience in the field (Electronic / Industrial / Computer / Mechanic / Chemical)
4. Fluent in English with conversation level >80%

Responsibilities:

1. Develop new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.
2. Coordinate design requirement reviews with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods.
3. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
4. Conceive and plan projects involving the definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.
5. If responsibilities are primarily focused on developing optimal manufacturing processes for Additive Manufacturing, match to Additive Manufacturing Engineer.
