Descripción del empleo

Love aviation? Want to help deliver business-critical solutions and tools? Then come soar with MX Air Transportation. Amazon needs YOU to lead the development and execution across S&OP, Planning, Finance, Fulfillment, Ground, and Air-Transportation supporting thousands of daily shippings. MX Air ATS is growing, and enabling this requires investment in operations to scale the Air Network.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager who thrives in dealing with ambiguity and can independently drive efforts to join the team building end-to-end planning, product design, execution, and support operators for the MX Air Network. This is a leadership role operating at the intersection of strategy and operations, owning the process from concept to execution.

This position involves communication with senior management on status, risks, and change control, owning complex, organization-wide initiatives, providing thought leadership, demonstrating a high degree of independence, ownership, bias for action, and decision-making. Additionally, this role requires the ability to think strategically and facilitate long-term research that contributes to a multi-year product roadmap.

Strong candidates will understand and influence the development of large-scale, distributed services to drive solutions across multiple teams. They will have excellent communication skills, a passion for building simple, elegant, and architecturally sound systems, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the creation of comprehensive business cases, including in-depth analysis, cost modeling, service levels, and ROI.
  2. Define and drive the strategic roadmap for product implementation.
  3. Conduct operational and compliance audits of air cargo partners to assess readiness, safety protocols, infrastructure, and reliability.
  4. Establish KPIs and mechanisms to ensure performance.
  5. Manage relationships and sub-contracts with third-party solution providers.
  6. Serve as the business focal point to manage and maintain contractual relationships with partner vendors.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • Knowledge of air cargo regulations, charter models, and operator compliance frameworks.
  • Practical knowledge of the Full All Cargo Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program.
  • Proven track record of launching air cargo operations.
  • Willing to relocate and travel to Gateway or Air Hub sites in the country.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • 2+ years of experience driving process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Business, Operations, Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related fields.
  • Experience managing operation-led process improvements through Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • 3+ years of air cargo/3P integrator ramp experience.
