Emerson in Mexicali, Baja California, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to partner with operations to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. You will lead continuous improvement projects focusing on welding, heat treatment, surface finishing, and material flow.

You will analyze deviations, implement sustainable technical solutions, and lead lean initiatives to reduce waste. Strong data analysis, communication, and collaboration are essential as you report progress to

Formación

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or leading manufacturing processes related to welding, heat treatment, and surface finishing.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve technical problems, and implement process improvements in a production environment.
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards, quality systems, and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time while maintaining focus on priorities and outcomes.

Job Description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives.

Plan, develop, and lead continuous improvement projects focused on welding, heat treatment, surface finishing, and material flow.

Ensure fabrication processes comply with engineering standards, material specifications, and quality and environmental management systems.

Analyze process deviations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable technical solutions supported by clear documentation.

Lead lean initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower manufacturing costs using structured improvement methodologies.

Communicate project status, risks, and results to cross-functional stakeholders, fostering transparency and shared accountability.

For This Role, You Will Need:

B.S. in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Hands-on experience supporting or leading manufacturing processes related to welding, heat treatment, and surface finishing.

Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve technical problems, and implement process improvements in a production environment.

Working knowledge of engineering standards, quality systems, and safe manufacturing practices.

Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time while maintaining focus on priorities and outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Kaizen, root cause analysis, 6 Sigma, A3s or similar methodologies.

Practical knowledge of advanced fabrication processes, including welding methods, surface finishing requirements, and process costing.

Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering systems such as ERP platforms, CAD tools, Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) or project management software.

Experience supporting new product introductions, equipment qualification, or process validation activities.

TIG, Laser Welding certification preferred (or equivalent documented experience).
