Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Facilities/Maintenance technicians operate and maintain facilities equipment including, but not limited to, building controls, fire protection systems, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). They are responsible for maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of utilities equipment, maintaining the physical structure of the establishment, and general electrical systems in an industrial, cGMP regulated facility. Utilities equipment includes chillers, boilers, air handling units, exhaust ventilation, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, reheat, fire prevention, emergency power generators, water treatment, UPS, and environmental control systems. All maintenance activities are documented in the site computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
The technicians perform maintenance, service, and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building upkeep activities as needed. They plan, coordinate, inspect, and support project management for facility-related projects, including building remodeling, equipment installation, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy management programs.
