Job summary

Flex seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus, to drive productivity through people, methods, and technology. You will lead process design, planning, and optimization for manufacturing and NPI programs, supporting SpinCo after the planned Q1 2027 spin.

You will report to the Business Excellence Manager and help optimize takt, cycle times, and direct labor requirements. The role requires BA/BS, Lean knowledge, and strong English, with experience in electronics

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a similar role or Industrial Engineer.
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
• Basic Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Process mapping (VSM).
• Continuous improvement methodologies: Kaizen, 5S, standardization.
• Production & facilities management: capacity analysis and line balancing.
• Lean & quality standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA, IPC.
• Electronics manufacturing: SMT, PCB assembly, clean room.

Responsibilities

• Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulate process, materials and manufacturing workflow using REFA, MOST, WITNESS.
• Coordinate process planning and setup for NPI with takt, cycle time, direct labor.
• Review results during prototyping and trial runs and provide feedback to NPI and sales.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to improve efficiency.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission‑critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Industrial Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, the role involves responsibilities for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

What a typical day looks like:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.
• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position or Industrial Engineer.
• Advanced English spoken and written.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing: principles of waste elimination, continuous flow, and continuous improvement.
• Process mapping (VSM): introductory ability to document and analyze value streams.
• Continuous improvement methodologies: basic exposure to Kaizen, 5S, and process standardization.
• Production & facilities management: capacity analysis, line balancing, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Lean & quality standards: basic Lean Manufacturing knowledge; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA, IPC.
• Electronics manufacturing: SMT, PCB assembly, and clean room environments.
