A global e-commerce leader in Mexico City seeks a Sr Imports Strategy Program Manager to optimize their international supply chain. As a Sr Imports Strategy Program Manager within our Supply Chain Inbound Strategy team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our global supply chain network optimization. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on program management to drive innovations in our international fulfillment channels.
You'll work closely with our Fulfillment Centers, Inventory Placement, Inbound, and Topology Network design teams, focusing on long-term planning to fulfill expected demand. You’ll be required to navigate complex international supply chain challenges while identifying opportunities for optimization and growth. This highly visible position requires someone who can think strategically while executing tactically, bringing together diverse stakeholders to drive meaningful improvements in our import operations across selection expansion, delivery speed enhancement, and cost optimization.
You'll be responsible for developing comprehensive business cases, securing resources, and maintaining alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
Success requires strong analytical capabilities to establish and track key performance indicators, ensure program delivery, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex environments and can navigate ambiguity while delivering concrete results that impact Amazon's global operations.
Key job responsibilities
• Own and manage the long-term strategy for complex cross-functional programs related to imports and cross-border transfers, working with stakeholders across global supply chain, transportation, operations, retail, compliance, and product/tech teams.
• Develop and execute innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Imports programs.
• Drive program strategy and implementation to expand selection, accelerate delivery times, and reduce costs.
• Partner with executive leaders to align priorities and secure resources across multiple organizations.
• Create and maintain program documentation, including business requirements, implementation approaches, and strategic narratives.
• Identify and proactively mitigate risks while driving timely decision-making.
• Manage and influence cross-functional teams to deliver results without direct authority.
• Define and track key performance metrics to measure program success.- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of defining and executing against program timeline & requirements experience
- 5+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience
- Experience in program or project management
- 5+ years of direct experience with import/ export/ product compliance, global logistics within supply chain.
- English proficiency.- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- PMP certificate
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the imports industry.
