RXinsider LTD. is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Linux End User Computing to establish and support a secure Linux endpoint environment at our Mexico office.

Formación

  • BS in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience with endpoint OS support and engineering.
  • Strong experience with Linux including RHEL/Ubuntu/Rocky Linux.
  • Experience with enterprise endpoint environments and EPM solutions.
  • Experience with Intune, ManageEngine, JAMF or similar.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell).

This role is office-based in Mexico. The role requires professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

Under the general direction of a manager, the Sr. Engineer, Linux End User Computing is responsible for helping establish, implement, and support Linux endpoint services throughout the organization.

As Linux support is a developing capability within the enterprise, the incumbent will serve as the primary subject matter expert for Linux endpoint technologies, partnering with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and End User Computing teams to create a secure, scalable, and supportable Linux environment.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing Linux endpoint standards, management processes, security controls, automation, and operational procedures while providing ongoing administration and support. In addition to Linux-focused responsibilities, the incumbent will contribute to the broader EndUser Computing environment, supporting enterprise endpoint initiatives and helping deliver a consistent end-user experience across all supported platforms.

Office Environment

As a member of the End User Computing team, you will help develop and support the organization Linux endpoint strategy and operational support model. You will evaluate, implement, and maintain the technologies, standards, and processes required to support Linux devices in an enterprise environment.

You will work closely with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to establish Linux management capabilities through enterprise endpoint management solutions.

Following implementation, you will provide ongoing administration, support, security management, and continuous improvement for Linux endpoints throughout their lifecycle.

While Linux will be your primary area of responsibility, you will also collaborate with fellow engineers to support the broader endpoint environment, including Windows, macOS, endpoint management platforms, software deployments, operating system upgrades, security initiatives, and end-user support

activities. You will also be responsible for managing the enterprise-wide workstation tools such as Intune, PDQ, ManageEngine and JAMF.

Warehouse Environment

As a member of the End User Computing you will be responsible for the high-volume, centrally managed workstation hardware and software necessary to support the warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do:
Technical (100%)
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise Linux endpoint strategy, standards, and support model.
  • Assess existing Linux devices and develop plans to bring them under centralized management and support.
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer Linux endpoint management solutions using enterprise management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, ManageEngine, and other approved technologies.
  • Provide technical support for Linux operating systems, software, hardware, and connectivity issues through resolution.
  • Administer, configure, deploy, and maintain Linux operating systems, including but not limited to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and other approved distributions.
  • Develop and maintain Linux workstation standards, configuration baselines, deployment processes, and lifecycle management practices.
  • Implement and support endpoint security controls, including vulnerability remediation, patch management, encryption, and compliance monitoring.
  • Create and maintain automation solutions using scripting and automation technologies such as Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and other approved tools.
  • Support authentication and identity integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, and Single Sign-On solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux operating system, application, networking, authentication, and endpoint management issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and training materials related to Linux endpoint administration and support.
  • Serve as the primary technical owner and escalation point for Linux endpoint technologies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and business teams to develop supportable solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for other supported endpoint operating systems and technologies as needed.
  • Collaborate with End User Computing team members on software deployments, operating system upgrades, security remediation efforts, endpoint management initiatives, and end- user support activities across all supported platforms.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations based on industry best practices.
  • Provide 24 by 7 on-call support on a rotating basis with other team members, usually for a one-week period at a time.
  • Lead or participate in projects involving endpoint deployments, operating system migrations, security initiatives, automation efforts, and endpoint management platform enhancements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, or a Bachelor of Arts Degree in a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of work experience supporting, administering, or engineering endpoint operating systems and technologies or any equivalent combination of experience and training/certification in software, hardware, and technology applications.
  • Strong experience with Linux operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or similar distributions.
  • Experience supporting enterprise endpoint environments and end-user computing technologies.
  • Experience building, implementing, or supporting Linux endpoint management solutions within an enterprise environment.
  • Experience developing and maturing endpoint management standards, operational processes, and support models.
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, ManageEngine, JAMF, or similar solutions.
  • Experience integrating Linux systems with enterprise identity platforms such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, or Single Sign-On solutions.
  • Experience with software deployment, package management, endpoint provisioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Extensive proficiency in patch management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux security best practices and endpoint compliance standards.
  • Experience managing Linux devices through ManageEngine or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS endpoint environments within an enterprise setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation technologies such as Bash, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
  • Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client service skills, including both written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work quickly and professionally
  • Proven accountability for work completion, documentation, and timeliness.
  • Availability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
  • Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC).
  • CompTIA Linux+.
