The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and understanding manufacturing costs and working with the Controller to provide monthly manufacturing finance summaries to the organization. He/she will play a key role in ensuring that the organization’s manufacturing costs are well understood and communicated, and will also assist with budgets, standard cost rolls, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities include:

1. Creating and publishing monthly manufacturing cost summaries, including details on efficiencies, production variances, and initiatives aimed at reducing costs.
2. Performing cost analyses for new and existing products in collaboration with design engineering, methods, purchasing, planning, and manufacturing engineering, to identify discrepancies and update cost data accordingly. Tracking and publishing metrics on costs and inventories.
3. Meeting regularly with stakeholders to review actual versus budget variances and developing action plans to address gaps.
4. Collaborating with the Controller and IT to design and implement automated reporting for key performance metrics.
5. Supporting the development of annual, long-range, and quarterly financial forecasts by working with various organizational stakeholders.
6. Participating in special projects, including policy, procedure, control, or process improvements.

Qualifications include:

• Advanced level of English proficiency.
• Strong teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in QAD, MFG PRO, Cyber query, and Hyperion.
• Proficient computer skills, especially in relevant software tools.
