A prominent infrastructure solutions provider in Juárez is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage costing processes and financial reporting for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, strong analytical skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. This role supports budget planning and ensures financial integrity within the plant operations.

Formación

  • Deep understanding of cost accounting, product costing and analysis of manufacturing variances.

  • Self-starter who can work independently and execute projects effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance required.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.

  • Ensure monitoring daily through reports such as Earned hours, scrap and COGS.
  • Check work order weekly and ensure the correct report.
  • Prepare and load the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly Inventory movement analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit activity.
  • Complete monthly closing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis regarding production costs.
  • Compile and share monthly productivity reports.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of operations consumption.
  • Assist in execution of annual physical inventories and cycle counting program.

Job Overview

This position will provide Costing and Operational support for the Plant 1 HUS site located in Juarez Mx and will report to the Cost Accountant Superintendent. The Cost Accountant is responsible for executing and supporting cost control processes, budget planning, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate tracking of expenses, supports monthly closing activities, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency.

A Day In The Life

Maintain robust controls throughout the businesses and help to identify and address potential risks in a timely manner.

  • Ensure monitoring daily through reports such as Earned hours, scrap and COGS and COPS
  • Check work order weekly and ensure the correct report.
  • Maintain robust controls throughout the businesses and help to identify and address potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for preparing and loading the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts as it relates to plant activities.
  • Monthly Inventory movement analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit activity and assist in timely remediation of any findings or follow up items and work with site to ensure SOX controls are documented and operating effectively.
  • Complete monthly closing journal entries and account reconciliations. Ensures accurate allocation of costs across cost centers and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis regarding production costs.
  • Coordinate with team members to validate month end close activities, checklist and execution.
  • Compiles and shares monthly productivity reports for various business units, ensuring data accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of operations consumption and identifies discrepancies for corrective action.
  • Collaborates on the development and refinement of reporting tools and templates to improve data visibility and decision-making.
  • Assist in execution of annual physical inventories and cycle counting program (including supervision of Cycle Counting Analyst).

4-6 years Manufacturing Accounting experience.
