Align Technology is seeking a qualified professional to support its manufacturing operations by translating business needs into software requirements and MES-aligned solutions.

The role involves collaborating with development, local Business Analysts, and cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑driven improvements, write SRS documents, and guide UAT activities in a fast-paced production environment.

Formación

• 5+ years in software development, QA, or software business analysis with 4+ years in Manufacturing Operations.
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Ability to quickly learn current production business flows and MES architecture.

Responsabilidades

• Attend global and local meetings to discuss business requirements with cross functional teams.
• Write software requirements specifications and other documents following IT processes and Align SOPs.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Help steer business users to solutions appropriate for the processes and available technology.
• Contribute input to the development team when new or enhanced business solutions are proposed.
• Assist users and local Analysts with preparing and administering user acceptance tests.
• Assess impact of business requests before release and measure benefits after release.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend global as well as local meetings to participate in business requirements discussions with cross functional teams.
• Write software requirements specifications and other documents following IT processes and Align SOPs.
• Provide qualitative and, where possible, quantitative analysis of business processes to identify, and help prioritize, opportunities for improvement.
• Help steer business users to solutions appropriate for the maturity level of the processes and the available technology.
• Contribute input to the development team when new or enhanced business solutions are proposed.
• Assist business users and local Business Analysts with preparing user acceptance test cases.
• Assist business users and local Business Analysts in administering user acceptance tests.
• Assess impact of business requests before release.
• Measure expected possible benefits and collect user feedback after release

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in either a) Software Development, b) Software Quality Assurance, or c) Software Business Analysis, with 4+ years of hands-on experience within a Manufacturing Operations environment.
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Capability to quickly learn current business flows in production.
• Wilingness to learn MES solution architecture and industry-accepted manufacturing operations management principles.
• Participation in research to determine if solutions to business requirements are feasible.
• Good writing skills with formal documentation, especially in writing business requirements.
• Ability to support multiple projects in different stages in parallel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Troubleshooting skills of application issues.
• Ability to verify testing results.
• SQL query skills for analyzing production data
