ARSAN International Consulting Group seeks a Sr. Automation & Robotics Manager for the metal-mechanic industry in Querétaro. You will lead the Automation and Controls department, directing high-impact projects across manufacturing lines and sites.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 10+ years managing engineering/automation teams in industrial manufacturing
  • 5–7 years hands-on Automation/Controls/Robotics experience
  • Experience in high-volume, precision environments valued
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish fluency

Responsabilidades

  • Lead automation projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Establish best engineering practices in controls, robotics, and automation
  • Coordinate projects across multiple plants including remote locations
  • Oversee automation of manual operations and integration of new tech into lines
  • Drive cycle time reduction, quality, and OEE improvements
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams on improvements
  • Mentor technical personnel and drive continuous improvement

Job Description – Sr. Automation & Robotics Manager – Metal-Mechanic Industry (Queretaro)

Our client, a world-class manufacturing company, is seeking a Sr. Automation & Robotics Manager within the metal-mechanic industry. This leadership role is responsible for directing and managing the Automation and Controls department, ensuring the successful implementation of high-impact automation projects across multiple manufacturing lines and locations. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance across engineering disciplines, collaborate on cross-functional projects (including remote sites), and continuously identify and integrate emerging technologies to improve productivity and process reliability.

This position requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and a passion for innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Note: This position is available only under Mexican payroll.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing engineering or automation teams in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • At least 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in Automation, Controls Engineering, or Robotics integration
  • Experience in high-volume, precision manufacturing environments is highly valued
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
Technical Knowledge / Experience:
  • Model-based design, simulation, and software validation (Matlab, ANSYS, Comsol, Abaqus)
  • 3D mechanical design and program management (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent)
  • Advanced PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI systems integration
  • Industrial robotics: setup, programming, and integration (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)
  • Software development in C/C++/C#, Python, SQL Server, Visual Basic
  • Experience in machine vision systems, optical sensors, and automation for quality inspection
  • Strong understanding of forward/reverse kinematics, control loops, and process optimization
  • Ability to lead technical teams in programming, troubleshooting, and designing control systems from scratch

  • Ensure alignment of automation initiatives with overall plant strategy and productivity goals
  • Drive cycle time reduction, quality improvements, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) gains
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams on cross-functional improvement efforts
  • Participate in the validation and ramp-up of new equipment, tools, and production lines
  • Develop suppliers and technical partners for automation and equipment fabrication
  • Provide training and mentorship to technical personnel, ensuring competency development and performance
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement projects within the automation function
