Newell Brands is seeking a Foreign Trade Sr. Analyst to oversee import/export operations in Mexico, ensuring accurate and compliant document validation and coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders.

The role requires a strong background in Mexican customs regulations, pedimento validation, and SAP-based record keeping, with emphasis on risk mitigation and KPI tracking.

Formación

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade or related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in Mexican foreign trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican customs regulations and documents.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and track import/export operations.
• Validate invoicing, packing lists, BL/AWB, and pedimentos.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs Law and FTAs.
• Work with brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
• Maintain SAP records and operational controls.
• Identify regulatory and operational risks before clearance.
• Support audits and regulatory changes implementation.
• Track KPIs for compliance and efficiency.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts.

We are looking for a Foreign Trade Sr. Analyst with solid experience in Mexican foreign trade operations, customs compliance, and international logistics coordination.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of import and export operations. The role will also serve as a technical reference for document validation and preventive compliance controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and track import and export operations.
• Perform advanced validation of customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, and pedimentos.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs Law, Foreign Trade Rules, and non-tariff regulations and restrictions.
• Coordinate daily activities with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain operational controls, databases, and SAP records accurately and up to date.
• Identify and mitigate regulatory and operational risks before customs clearance.
• Support audits, preventive compliance reviews, and the implementation of regulatory changes.
• Track KPIs related to compliance, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Provide operational guidance and backup support to junior analysts and traffic executives.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• More than 3years of experience in Mexican foreign trade operations.
• Strong experience in imports, exports, pedimento validation, and customs documentation.
• Practical knowledge of MVE, NTRs/RRNA, Incoterms, FTAs, and Mexican customs regulations.
• Experience using SAP, VUCEM, intermediate-advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with EDICOM, Power BI, and artificial intelligence tools is considered a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, accountability, and effective stakeholder communication.
