Newell Brands in Mexicali is seeking a Cost Analyst to support the financial and operational performance of our manufacturing plant. You will analyze cost centers, monitor COGS, assist with budgeting, and partner with Operations and Engineering on cost-reduction initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or related field, experience in financial analysis and cost accounting, strong Excel skills, knowledge of costing methods, and proficiency with SAP.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of costing methodologies and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Experience with SAP (desible) and financial reporting/data analytics tools.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and interpret financial information to support business decision-making.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and management reports.
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor and analyze cost centers, production variances, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
• Assist with month-end financial close activities.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering teams on cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives.
• Support CAPEX analysis, investment tracking, and asset capitalization activities.
• Monitor business KPIs, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal control requirements.
