The Senior Logistics Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing import and export compliance procedures and international trade programs, including but not limited to supply chain security (C-TPAT, AEO), international trade data integrity (country of origin, classification, ECCN, etc.), duty drawback, Free Trade Agreement, reconciliation, and more. This role supports the Logistics Compliance manager in developing and executing overall logistics compliance strategies for medical device import, export, and trade regulations. The individual ensures adherence to company policies and regulations while facilitating efficient international trade flow. They will operate at tactical and operational levels and advise management on strategic initiatives.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform import/export activities in compliance with government rules, organizational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Manage issues related to legal interpretation and determination of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Country of Origin, Customs Valuations, ECCN, anti-dumping regulations, duty drawback, duty suspension, and other governmental programs affecting product exemptions.
- Oversee compliance with trade programs and issue necessary certificates.
- Responsible for Customs reconciliation and anti-boycott programs.
- Audit and maintain data governance in SAP and trade compliance records per regulatory requirements.
- Create and update compliance manuals, policies, procedures, SOPs, and trade guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, international business, finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Trade Compliance or Logistics Operations Compliance within medical devices.
- Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent professional trade certification.
- Expert knowledge of customs regulations, FDA importing regulations, EAR, and Census Trade requirements.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, classification, free trade agreements, and training skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with experience in risk management and gap analysis.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and make reliable decisions.
- Effective independently and in team settings.
- Proven ability to develop practical solutions for complex logistics and compliance issues.
- Experience in Supply Chain Security Programs and duty drawback processes.
- Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong resourcefulness and data evaluation skills.
