Formación

Descripción del empleo

Position Objective

Responsible for purchasing engine components within assigned commodities, covering all NPD and MDP sourcing activities, serial purchasing, and spare parts commercial activities.

Activities must align with our Global Supply Chain Strategy and Mexico Deployment Plan, supporting focus criteria such as partnership potential, innovation, production/logistics requirements, quality, and cost.

Active participation in the supplier relationship management program is required.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support commodity strategy activities (strategic sourcing process).
  • Actively manage supplier relationships.
  • Conduct technology, market, industry, and benchmark research and analysis.
  • Handle sourcing for new components and relocation projects.
  • Manage RFQs and negotiations based on cost analysis and open book policy.
  • Participate in supplier nomination and selection during cross-functional sourcing meetings.
  • Negotiate contracts including LTAs, terms and conditions, B2B agreements, and logistics.
  • Perform administrative tasks in SAP.
  • Maintain effective communication.
  • Demonstrate long-term negotiation skills and proactivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Position Profile

- Degree in engineering or supply chain/economics.

Languages

Fluent English (speaking and writing).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years as a Sr. Buyer, preferably with manufacturing and automotive industry experience.
  • Experience in supplier development, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Ability to analyze proposals and financial data for pricing and cost structures.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills at management level, including contract negotiations.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures.

Technical Skills (Desired)

  • Experience with HPDC, gravity/low-pressure casting processes.
  • Knowledge of cost structure analysis and calculation methods.
  • Negotiation and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
