Resideo is seeking a Sr. Adv Reliability Engineer to own cloud infrastructure and build an IaC environment while monitoring system health across platforms.

You will drive cloud/devops practices in the transformation of operational support, collaborating with global teams and product owners to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (Azure preferred) including deployment and management of scalable services.
• 5+ years of experience administering Windows and/or Linux environments in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in observability and monitoring tools (Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace).
• Experience managing distributed, high-availability systems across regions with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and good English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain public cloud infrastructure using Azure or AWS.
• Build and maintain IaC for provisioning and automation (Terraform, ARM Templates).
• Automate IT operations with Ansible or similar tools and manage Helm for Kubernetes.
• Handle delivery and deployment using Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Maintain observability across IT platforms using Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, DataDog or similar.
• Oversee outages, perform RCA, and assist with major upgrades to minimize downtime.
• Be part of a 3-time-zone L3 team supporting IT platforms (L1/L2 escalations as needed).

The Sr. Adv Reliability Engineer in Resideo will be able to own the cloud infrastructure, build an infrastructure-as-code environment while also being able to monitor overall systems and infrastructure health to help the company continue advancing their innovation. The successful candidate will have the cloud and devops culture embedded in their work habits. This role will help drive these practices in the overall transformation of operational support.

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintain public cloud infrastructure by using at least one of the Cloud technology Azure or AWS
• Build and Maintain cloud infrastructure automation (IaC) by using Terraform, ARM Templates or similar.
• Build and Maintain IT automation using tools like Ansible, Chef or managing complex container-based applications like Helm for Kubernetes.
• Build, delivery and deployment by using modern technologies like Git, Git Action, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes or similar.
• Build and maintain observability and monitoring across different IT platforms by using Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic , DataDog or similar.
• Oversee all planned outages, assess RCA and assist with major upgrades to ensure minimum downtime.
• Be part of a L3 team, spread across 3 time zones, to support troubleshooting IT platforms issues, when required (escalated from previous support levels L1 and L2).

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including deployment and management of scalable services.
• 5+ years of experience administering Windows and/or Linux environments in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred or equivalent) for provisioning and automation (2+ years).
• Strong expertise in observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace) to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Proven experience managing distributed, high-availability systems across multiple regions, including containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), with strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

• Comfort with both Linux and Windows administration
• Background with scripting technologies: PowerShell or Bash or Python
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging systems (e.g. ELK stack, Grafana, Icinga2 or similar).
