Formación

What you’ll do?

  1. Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragmentation, and database statistics.
  2. Perform database shrink operations and execute DBCC commands.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve database integrity, performance, blocking, and deadlocking issues.
  4. Implement Query Store, table partitioning, and encryption.
  5. Perform performance tuning and optimization.
  6. Resolve SQL Server performance bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, and disk I/O.
  7. Handle SQL Server installation, upgrades, migrations, and configuration.
  8. Apply database software service packs and cumulative updates as needed.
  9. Maintain documentation related to databases.
  10. Manage and administer database security access.
  11. Develop high availability strategies for MS SQL environments (e.g., Always On, clustering, log shipping, mirroring, replication).
  12. Perform ad-hoc database backups and restores.
  13. Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity issues.
  14. Follow Change Management processes for configuration changes.
  15. Follow Problem Management processes to troubleshoot recurring issues.
  16. Monitor and respond proactively to MSSQL database alerts.
  17. Participate in on-call support to ensure 24/7 database operations.
What You’ll Bring
  1. At least 6 years of experience as a database administrator in SQL Server environments.
  2. At least 4 years of SQL Server database development and programming.
  3. Experience with Transact-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS package development.
  4. Experience administering SQL Server versions 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
  5. Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  6. Knowledge of Windows Server, including Active Directory and disk configurations.
  7. Bachelor's or Master’s Degree, or equivalent education and experience.
