A leading company in the logistics sector is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping processes and ensure timely delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong logistics background, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, monitoring deliveries, and generating operational reports. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is a plus.

Formación

  • 2-3 years of logistics operations, export/import experience.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is an advantage.

Overview

Key Activities, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate all load and shipment processes with local plant, warehouse, terminal personnel, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery to internal or external customers.
  • Proactively monitor open orders and deliveries to avoid and resolve issues early, mitigating the negative impact of unavoidable disturbances.
  • Serve as the key transactional contact for customers, third-party logistics service providers, and freight forwarders.
  • Ensure adherence to the defined operational escalation process, involving leads, regional experts, and plant personnel when encountering unforeseen delays in shipping from the plant and final delivery to the customer.
  • Manage exceptions and emergency situations effectively.
  • Assist in resolving freight invoice discrepancies.
  • Document, investigate, and follow up on internal and external complaints.
  • Recommend process improvements, including investigating quality failures and developing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Maintain key internal relationships with business, sales, supply chain planning, logistics procurement, product management, and other functions.

Key Deliverables / Expectations:

  • Generate regular operational and KPI reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly), share findings and trends with leadership, and suggest improvement ideas where necessary.
  • Meet or exceed monthly KPI metrics and objectives.

Requirements / Experiences:

  • 2-3 years (or 3-5 years for specialists) of logistics operations, export/import experience.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
