Overview

The Cluster Manager of Space Optimization will work closely with the Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales and Marketing, and Directors of Catering & Events to ensure that new group and local business opportunities align with meeting space inventory strategy and each hotel’s strategic goals.

What will I be doing?

This position will analyze business intelligence and leads by understanding the total “health” of each group and event, evaluating remaining space to sell, considering booking trends, and reviewing historical performance for specific weeks.

  • Optimize hotel revenue streams and generate competitive index against marketplace competitors.
  • Manage Space Optimization and Sales Strategy.
  • Enhance Food & Beverage Optimization.

Provide analysis of hotel activity data and present findings to the Sales Team and related groups to assist in pricing strategies and sales forecasting that maximize hotel inventory and capitalize on opportunities. This role requires extensive interaction with the Director of Revenue Management, Director of Sales & Marketing, Directors of Catering & Events, and all Group and Local Sales Managers.

  • Fully understand hotel products and operations.
  • Review business plans, identify gaps, and implement proactive measures to meet capacity and targets.
  • Analyze competition and recommend strategies to hotel management.
  • Collaborate with DORM, DOSM, and DOCE(s) to re-evaluate sales strategies periodically and adjust group coverage targets, space allocation, and GRC targets.
  • Interact effectively with hotel colleagues.
