Job summary

Crane ChemPharma & Energy is seeking an experienced Internal Control Accountant to strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance across our global finance operations. You will lead SOX efforts and work with auditors to ensure robust internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

The role requires 3+ years in internal controls or related finance, with strong Excel and ERP system skills (QAD a plus) and excellent English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Internal Controls, Accounting, Audit, or a related Finance role.
• Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Experience with financial auditing processes and international accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience; QAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SOX compliance activities and internal control initiatives.
• Maintain and update internal control narratives, risk assessments, and control matrices.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support annual audit requirements.
• Administer segregation of duties (SOD) controls and financial system access.
• Execute internal audits and support corporate compliance objectives.
• Manage key accounting and finance processes, including intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting controls.
• Oversee travel and expense processes, corporate credit card administration, and banking documentation.
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities.
