Overview
The Sourcing Specialist II plays a vital role in the sourcing department. Key responsibilities include cost reduction, developing strategic supplier relationships, enhancing quality and delivery metrics, and supporting continuous improvement projects. The role ensures collaboration across supply partners and category teams to meet the goals of Operational Excellence and Sustainability within the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC). This position combines tactical and strategic functions within the global sourcing department and significantly influences daily operations at The Toro Company. It also offers opportunities for career growth within our dynamic Sourcing Department.
What will you do?
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Proactively enhance supplier relationships through effective communication to align with ISC’s goals.
- Support the development and implementation of supply agreements, Long Term Agreements (LTA), and collaborative partnerships.
- Assist Category Managers in cost negotiations and contract execution with strategic suppliers.
- Manage purchase requisitions and ensure purchase orders are placed with suppliers offering fair pricing, quality, and service.
- Support procurement processes within TTC’s MRP/ERP systems.
- Lead TTC’s Escalation process for supplier delivery issues and plant requests.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and authorize payments as appropriate.
- Participate in process improvement projects, including lean activities and productivity enhancements.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Work Environment
- Standard office environment regarding lighting, temperature, and noise.
- Dexterity required for computer operation and handling components.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately >10%.
What Do You Need?
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering, with 2+ years of experience.
- Ability to obtain a Supply Chain Management certification.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple objectives, attend to details, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and effective decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, MRP/ERP, Ariba, and SAP.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and market dynamics for assigned commodities.
- Knowledge and experience with Electrification Components.
- Proficiency in English (please submit your resume in English).

- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Background in Marketing Management.
- Knowledge of construction, irrigation, RLC sectors.
