Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. in Hermosillo, Sonora, is seeking a Sourcing & Procurement Analyst I to ensure timely procurement of tools, consumables, and spare parts for the Tool Crib and to maintain production continuity.

You will manage supplier relationships, create and follow up on purchase orders, and monitor inventory, cycle counts, and audits while coordinating with Engineering and Production on tooling needs. This role emphasizes cost savings and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business/engineering/logistics related field as stated.
• Min 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain.
• Advanced SAP knowledge preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Procure tools, consumables, and spares for the Tool Crib to support production and maintenance.
• Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders, including intercompany orders.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries, and promised dates.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production on tooling needs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and track KPIs.

SOURCING & PROCUREMENT ANALYST I

Job Overview

Responsible for the timely procurement of tools, consumables, and spare parts for the Tool Crib, ensuring availability for production and maintenance through effective supplier management, inventory control, and purchase order follow-up, contributing to operational continuity and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing and Procurement Management

Request quotations from suppliers.

Evaluate and compare pricing, quality, and delivery lead times.

Create purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders, including intercompany purchases from other TE sites.

Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, and committed delivery dates.

Inventory Control

Monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels for tools and consumables.

Analyze consumption trends to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.

Coordinate inventory replenishment activities.

Review and support cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

Production and Maintenance Support

Ensure the availability of tools and consumables required for production operations.

Manage urgent purchases to prevent production downtime.

Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams regarding special tooling and equipment requirements.

Analysis and Continuous Improvement

Identify cost reduction opportunities.

Standardize tools and consumables to reduce inventory complexity and optimize stock levels.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:

Cost savings generated

On-time deliveries

Tool Crib service level

Inventory value

Job Requirements

• RequirementsEducation
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related areas.Technical Knowledge
