Flex is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Guadalajara, North, to lead supplier development and sourcing strategies for metal manufacturing. You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, Customers, and Suppliers to ensure competitive, reliable supply solutions.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for metal commodities, lead RFQ/RFP and contract negotiations, and drive cost reductions while supporting NPI launches and APQP/PPAP activities.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in sourcing within metal manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, die casting, machining, tooling, and related processes.
• Experience managing global suppliers and international sourcing projects.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for metal commodities including sheet metal, CNC machining, die casting, plastic injection molding, extrusions, tooling, and mechanical assemblies.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, RFQ/RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity, and value engineering initiatives.
• Support NPI launches, APQP/PPAP activities, and sourcing readiness.
• Manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support customer sourcing reviews and global sourcing projects.

We’re looking to add a Sourcing Manager in Guadalajara, North, reporting to the Director, Commodity Sourcing .

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager with strong experience in metal manufacturing and strategic sourcing to lead supplier development, sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and new product introductions. This role will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Program Management, Customers, and Suppliers to ensure competitive, reliable, and scalable supply solutions.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for metal commodities including sheet metal, CNC machining, die casting, plastic injection molding, extrusions, tooling, and mechanical assemblies.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, RFQ/RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity, and value engineering initiatives.
• Support NPI launches, APQP/PPAP activities, and sourcing readiness.
• Manage supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and capacity.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team ;

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English.
• 8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within metal manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal, die casting, machining, tooling, and related manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing global suppliers and international sourcing projects.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, supplier development, and cost analysis.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems.
