Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sourcing Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Director, Commodity Sourcing, Sourcing Manager role involves responsible for seeking metal supplies and managing the complete project process. You will be in charge of design reviews and manage resources with the site.

What a typical day looks like:

Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various metals (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, titanium) aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor global metal markets, price trends, and geopolitical risks to proactively manage procurement risks and opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure a competitive, reliable, and sustainable supply base.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key metal suppliers, mills, and trading houses.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure compliance with material specifications and delivery requirements.

Cost and Risk Management:

  • Track and analyze commodity pricing trends, forecast cost impacts, and recommend hedging strategies if applicable.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives through supplier development, alternative materials, and process improvements.
  • Mitigate risks related to supply disruptions, tariffs, regulatory changes, and material scarcity.

Operational Coordination:

  • Collaborate with production planning and inventory management teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and just-in-time material availability.
  • Link between customer, sites and Suppliers
  • Perform technical DFM’s prior to start projects and identify risk, providing risk mitigation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing practices, and relevant regulations.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Mechanic, Mechatronics or similar.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Advanced English is mandatory
  • Experience performing DFM of metals
  • Advanced experience in strategic sourcing or procurement of raw materials, with a strong focus on metals.
  • Experience in NPI and localization
  • In-depth knowledge of global metal markets, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost savings, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment.
