Formación

  • 2–4 años de experiencia en abastecimiento o procuración, preferiblemente en la industria metal-mecánica.
  • Capacidad para leer e interpretar dibujos técnicos.
  • Dominio intermedio a avanzado del inglés.

Responsabilidades

  • Apoyar el desarrollo y la implementación de estrategias de abastecimiento para piezas mecánicas.
  • Gestionar solicitudes de cotización (RFQ), realizar análisis de costos, y recomendar proveedores.

Descripción del empleo

Resumen
Is responsible for supporting the sourcing and procurement of direct and indirect materials and services, with a focus on metal-mechanical components. This role ensures the effective execution of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization in alignment with company goals. The position collaborates with internal stakeholders, evaluates suppliers, and monitors key supply metrics.
Responsabilidades

Mains Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for mechanical and metal parts (e.g., castings, machined components, fabricated assemblies).
  • Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers to meet technical, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Manage RFQs (Request for Quotation), perform cost analysis, and recommend suppliers based on total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to define technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and supplier consolidation projects.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing records and supplier databases.
  • Track market trends in raw materials (e.g., steel, aluminum) that affect pricing and supply chain risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Supply Chain, Business, or related field).
  • 2–4 years of sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in the metal-mechanical or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of machining, welding, casting, or metal forming processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (desirable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS, CPSM, or similar supply chain certification. ( Desirable)
  • Experience working with international suppliers (Asia, North America, Europe).
  • Understanding of quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, PPAP).

Knowledge Requirements:

Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, stamping, casting, and metal forming.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and material specifications.

Knowledge of strategic sourcing, cost analysis, and supplier selection methodologies.

Familiarity with total cost of ownership (TCO) and should-cost modeling.

Experience with supplier performance monitoring (KPIs, delivery, quality, responsiveness).

Awareness of pricing and availability trends in raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).

Basic knowledge of global supply chain risks and logistics.

Understanding of compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the supply chain.

Use of procurement modules and supplier portals.

Skills in negotiation, contract terms, and pricing agreements.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers in English.

Ability to prepare and maintain RFQs, sourcing reports, and supplier scorecards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
