Amazon México is seeking a Sort Center Operations Manager to lead safety, budgeting, people development and operations for one building. You will coach and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive performance, and implement Lean initiatives to meet the business plan.

The role requires on-site leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and other Site Leaders to secure resources and drive continuous improvement across the network.

Formación

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsabilidades

  • Own and deliver the operational budget for the whole SC, including safety, productivity, financial planning, labor planning, and operational goals
  • Provide strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, 12 months and 3Yr overview)
  • Guide building culture according to leadership principles
  • Set clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers
  • Measure performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable
  • Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and ultimately the SC to meet and exceed business plan
  • Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network
  • Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Site Leaders/General Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing needed support and resources for other network initiatives

Sort Center Operations Manager, Worldwide Operations

Our Sort Center operations represents a strategic connectivity to reach our vision. Our Site Leaders are responsible for all safety, budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an entire building. Responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the SC.

A day in the life

You'll be based at one of our operational sites. Spending lots of time on site will help you develop your team and collaborate on operational planning. This role has two sides. You'll manage and motivate a team of leaders. At the same time, you'll focus on long-term objectives. This includes creating contingency plans to keep operations running and mitigate against disruptions and driving initiatives that boost quality, safety and productivity. You'll be a source of accountability and a business-wide champion of best practice.

Basic Qualifications
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
