Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a strategic, hands-on Solution Architect based in Mexico to define system blueprints and lead the technical direction for our software products, ensuring security, resilience, and performance.

You will collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and engineering leads to design end-to-end architectures, select technologies, and guide development teams during implementation; travel monthly to Morelia and relocation support are available.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar in complex distributed systems.
• Ability to design end-to-end architectures across backend, frontend, data, and cloud.
• Strong knowledge of security, HA, DR, and performance.
• Experience guiding development teams and aligning with product stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• System Design & Blueprinting for robust architectures across services and databases.
• Technology Evaluation & Selection including PoCs and tool choices.
• Technical Leadership & Governance with standards, patterns, and coding guidelines.
• Stakeholder alignment with product owners to translate requirements into blueprints.
• Address NFRs such as security, availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency.

Must be based in Mexico and available to travel to Morelia, Michoacán, once a month for 3-5 days.

Relocation to Morelia is also an option, with company relocation support available.

Requirements:

• We are seeking a strategic and technically hands-on Solution Architect to join our engineering department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining the structural blueprint and technical direction for our software systems. You will bridge the gap between high-level business problems and concrete, scalable technical solutions, ensuring that our software products are secure, resilient, performant, and aligned with our long-term technology strategy.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and engineering leads to design end-to-end architectures, select appropriate technologies, and steer development teams during implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design & Blueprinting: Design robust, scalable, and secure end-to-end software architectures, encompassing backend services, front-end layers, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Technology Evaluation & Selection: Conduct proof-of-concepts (PoCs), evaluate third-party tools, APIs, and frameworks, and make data-driven decisions on technology stack selection.
• Technical Leadership & Governance: Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and coding guidelines. Provide technical governance to development teams to ensure implementations align with the agreed-upon architecture.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with product owners to translate business requirements into technical blueprints, and clearly communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical developers and non-technical business leaders.
• Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Ensure that designs systematically address key non-functional requirements such as security, high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and cost-efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Principal Engineer designing complex, distributed enterprise software systems.
• Architectural Patterns: Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Serverless, APIs, and Cloud-Native designs).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern infrastructure practices (containers, Kubernetes, database design).
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and align cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to balance tactical delivery pressure with long-term strategic architectural goals.
